I have Kerio Workspace Virtual Appliance version 1.1.0 patch 1 build 2824.

I tried to upgrade to version 2.0.0-292. So I've downloaded the following file:

kerio-workspace-2.0.0-292-linux.deb

and followed the instructions in step-by-step guide. There says to execute the following command:

# dpkg -i kerio-workspace-2.x.x-xxxx.deb

Then, I executed:

# dpkg -i kerio-workspace-2.0.0-292-linux.deb

but everything went wrong. Kerio workspace neve came up. The Workspace console indicates "Kerio Workspace Engineis starting up" (forever). You can see detailed information in the attached images

Hi, was the installation finished ? No other error during the second command "dpkg -i " ?
Could you send us /opt/kerio/workspace/logs/debug.log ?

Hi,

it's caused by incorrect Debian repositories. They are O.K. in new 2.0 appliance, but in your 1.1.0 appliance you have to fix them manually.

Please do the following steps:
1) Edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list (you can use editor "nano" or "vi")
This is the right content:
--------------------------
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian squeeze main contrib
deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian squeeze main contrib
--------------------------
2) Make changes and save the file
3) Run "apt-get update"
4) Then run "dpkg -i kerio-workspace-2.0.0-292-linux.deb"
5) Then run "apt-get -f install"

Now Workspace 2.0 should be working.
