In KConnect you can use ALIAS oder you can add more Email-addresses to one account in order to get several Emails to your account. Can anyone explain me the different? Or what should be used for what?
Thanks,
Thomas

As far as I can tell there is really no difference. I try to create all my alias under the alias section, that way I can see everything.

one subtle difference is that additional e-mail addresses will be added to the global address list. Aliases will not.

Additional addresses can be selected as From address in webmail, aliases can not. It would be nice if the calendar and mailing lists would also use the additional addrsses to identify users.

Also, in Aliases, you can define a catch-all address (*). In additional email addresses, you can't do that.

And an alias can be delivered directly to a public folder rather than a user.
