We have a company-wide email group that is getting enormous amounts of spam. We use AD integration, and it's an AD group, in case that matters.

Looking through Kerio I can't block senders on a group like I can a mail list. My thought was to put a custom spam rule in place so that if messages are sent to the group from a non-company address (so one of 3 domains we use), to just block it. But I can't define multiple criteria on the custom spam rules.

Is there a way to do this by editing the config file? If so, is there syntax for an 'if not' filter, for the domains? Is anyone well-versed in writing these rules that could help me out? I would greatly appreciate it!

And if anyone has other suggestions on cutting down the spam, that would be great as well.

Just found this old thread - anyone ever have a suggestion for this, we are having a similar issue - would be nice to have a way to block non-company emails to certain email groups...

I think i have found a "solution"

  1. in the section Configuration->Content Filter->Spam Filter->Blacklist tab check the checkbox Use IP address group and in the optionlist select Local clients
  2. in the section Configuration->Content Filter->Spam Filter->Custom Rules tab create custom rule :
Destription: block email account "test-user" from outside
    (*) Mail header
    ( ) Mail body
    Header: To
    Type: contains substring
    Content: test-user
    ( )...
(*)Treat the message as spam and reject it
    ( )...
    [X] enable rule

Replace test-user with email account you want to block from outside but i still think it will be better to configure all antispam options properly Smile
