Hi,

I am looking to purchase some Snom Vision expansion modules to use with Snom 870 phones.

http://www.snom.com/en/products/accessories/snom-vision/

Is there anything I need to be aware of with Operator?

Thanks,

ft.

Hi,

we haven't tested it yet. So I cannot confirm if the expansion modules will work or not.

We tested expansion Module V2.0 only and it works.

For info, we have had a Snom Vision in house for about 4 months. The main receptionist is the primary user.

When it works it works well, but it does, apparently, lock up and requires a restart every few days. Despite this the benefits to the user are greater than the problems.

I have not had much opportunity to investigate/troubleshoot the freezes.

Regards,

ft.

Can the Snom Vision be used as a standalone device with Operator to handle BLF functions ?

No, Snom Vision cannot be auto-provisioned as a standalone device.

Hi - did finally get BLF + Pickup working.

Each Button has to be configured as following:

Context/Type : Active / BLF
Value: <sip:EXTENSION@SERVERIP;user=phone&gt>|**
Name: VISIBLE NAME IN SCREEN

The "magic" is "&gt"

The effect is as following:
Lamp OFF : Indicates Target phone not in use; Press button to Call Extension
Lamp Blinking : Indicates ringing Phone; Press Button to Pickup Call
Lamp ON : Indicates active phone call; Press Button to Call Extension

Hope this helps someone.
