Is there a way to transfer a license used by a person no longer working in our company to his/her successor?
Or is a license lost and vanished forever into Kerio's wallets once the user who's mailbox consumed the original license has been deleted?

I have purchased 50 licenses for Kerio Connect and currently have 41 active mailboxes but already 47 licenses out of my pool are claimed by Kerio Connect to exhausted, probably by deleted mailboxes caused by users leaving the company.

How to reactivate the currently unused licenses?

Hello Radek

thanks for your reply, but unfortunately it doesn't work as you describe.
I have deleted a user (selected in the user list, chosen "delete" and selected
"Delete user's message folder".

The user was effectively removed from the user list but the number of free licenses did NOT increase but rather stayed at the same value as before deleting the user
(actually the number of exhausted licenses did not shrink).

The product is Kerio Connect 7.4.0 on Lion Server

BTW. if it were as simple as you describe I wouldn't have asked

I guess it's some problem in GUI. Restart of server should help.

Ok, I will give it a try and restart the server tonight when its not busy
(that is: Restart Kerio, not rebooting the Lion Server)

i don't think it would be a problem.

i delete old accounts and create new ones every week.

the count of Kerio is right

This evening I restarted our Kerio Mail Server (System Preferences -> Kerio -> Stop Server / Start Server) but the number of used licenses displayed in KMS admin tool still is the same. As you might guess, I'm becoming a little nervous and definitely don't want to create just another user accouunt and delete it again only to see if license reusing really works and to find it it doesn't thus having burnt yet another license.

Any hints please?

Is it a local user or user mapped from OpenDirectory?

I can't tell, since the user is deleted, but I assume it was a local user

I just deleted another user's mail account and this time the count of used licenses went down by one.
Strange.. but thanks for your help anyway.
I might come back if I'll sport the same problem again in the future.
