Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue with a particular message becoming stuck in the message queue & if you have come up with a solution.

The users website has been amalgamated with another company & the domain name has been taken over / redirected to another another site.

When I go to there website that www.companyname.com the site gets redirected to www.companyname2.com

The email that is being sent out is going to info<_at_>companyname.com but it keeps getting stuck in the message Queue with a status of 4.4.2 Connection lost.

The email is still live according to the company so is it an issue on there end or ours or there hosting provider?

Thanks a million

That's most probably an issue on their end. To test, just send a message from another system (like hotmail, gmail) and see if it arrives.

@freakinvibe thanks for the tip. The strange thing is that we have sent them test messages asking if they have received the previous email & they have responded saying they have...
However every time I check the message Queue (maybe once every 2 days) there seems to be a message to them sitting in the Queue. It could be the same one or a different one but the status is always the same (connection lost)

If the issue is on there end which i am leaning towards myself, is there any advise I could give them other than there email is not working & they should contact there hosting provider Smile

If some messages go through, it could also be the size of the messages. Or the recipient server is using grey listing.

To find out the root cause, you should switch on "SMTP client" in the debug log and then select the message in the queue and click "Try to send now". Then post the relevant log snippets here.

thanks for the tip <_at_>freakinvibe I will have to wait for the message to be stuck in the Queue again before i can post SMTP debug data here. Regarding any tips I can ask the client to do any suggestions

Cheers
