I have a few Samsung Infuse 4G phones, and I have configured Exchange ActiveSync on them. However, the shared contacts are not being synchronized. In the webmail under folders to sync, I have checked the box of that shared contacts. But the phones will only sync the contacts in the user's folder, not the shared one. Has anyone run into this before?

Android phones cannot synchronize other than user's private calendar/contact folder. It's a limitation of Android system. Other clients like Moxier Mail can.

Yes, I have run in to this before. I even opened a ticket for this issue. The short version is that you are correct, it does not work.

I called and opend a ticket because I found that the personal calendar and personal contacts show up on the phones, but any shared calendars or contacts do not. (Ticket # for Pavel: USN-578421)

The Kerio support position is that Android devices only sync the user's personal calendar and contacts, not shared ones.

Don't think you can get around that by using public shares either. I tried that too because clearly indicated that for my devices "Public Folder Sync" is supported.

It didn't work either, and the support response was: "Unfortunately public contact and calendar folders can only be synced to iPhones/iPads."

When I pointed out that this did not seem to match the documentation, Support replied "Public email folders can be synced to an Android phone. Public contact and calendars cannot be synced", and the ticket was closed.

As a work around, I have used the app CalDAV-Sync Beta. While that app detects shared resources on most servers--I used it on Zimbra before we switched to Kerio--, it doesn't detect them on Kerio. However it will let you manually enter one shared calendar URL (but only one per account) and then syncs it to the phone. I have a couple of phone users who use more than one shared calendar and so far, they are just out of luck.

Mid 2015: Quit Kerio and moved to Exchange 2013 and Meraki.
Kerio Control 8.4.0--Used since it was WinRoute, many years ago
Kerio Connect 8.4.0 on Ubuntu. Bought Connect just in time for the switch to NO SUPPORT(aka pay for support). Not. Happy.
