Hi Guys

I would like to add a safe email address to Kerio for example

user<_at_>company.com

Is there a way of adding this to a safe list? In Kerio Custom rules you can add a rule & the action to "Treat the message as non-spam (overrides the SpamAssassin score"
but doe this override the blacklist DB's also?

Thanks a million

I experimented with this, and it doesn't seem to be able to bypass or ignore the blacklist check. If you figure out how to do it, please let us know.

There is a suggestion to fix this HERE in the kerion feedback forum but it only has 7 votes.

Mid 2015: Quit Kerio and moved to Exchange 2013 and Meraki.
Kerio Control 8.4.0--Used since it was WinRoute, many years ago
Kerio Connect 8.4.0 on Ubuntu. Bought Connect just in time for the switch to NO SUPPORT(aka pay for support). Not. Happy.

It works when the blacklists are configured to add high spam score instead of instant rejection of the message. Then custom spam rules can override DNS blacklist test.

@Pavel
Could you point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to set this up?

In relation to DB's that are set to block. Would we be better off setting a higher SPAM score instead of blocking outright?
For example we have a SPAM tag score of 5 & a block of 7 so if we set the DB's that are blocked to a score of 4 instead would this be better?
Also if we change the DB score from block to a score, this might cause an excess of spam emails coming into accounts. Is it worth it for just for one email to change from block to a score?

Cheers

Thanks for the link Gregg does this override all of the custom blacklist DBs as when creating this rule it says it only for spamassassin?

Hi Guys

A quick one on safe emails. I would like to add all emails from a domain as safe & pass through the blacklist using a custom rule as suggested above.

In the Help section of Kerio Manual on this topic I found this:

"contains address with domain -- the item contains all email addresses from this domain. Enter the mail domain, i.e. the second part of the email address right from the <_at_> symbol, in this field."

If the email address is info@domainame.com do I use "@domainname.com" or "domainname.com" as the way im reading the above I should use <_at_>domainname.com

Cheers
