Hey Guys

For our initial testing we're using nextiva trunks with X-lite as the client app. With all the defaults, we can make outgoing calls fine, and the caller ID displayed is the external number we got from nextiva.

There are lots of places in the configuration where you can change the outgoing number that is displayed as caller ID.

I have tried it in the advanced options of the SIP interface editor. I have tried it in the advanced options of the extension editor. And finally I have tried it in the rewrite rules for outgoing routes. In any or any combination of these configs, any attempt I make to change the displayed number results in a failure to make an outgoing call.

When I just use the number nextiva gave me the outgoing call connects instantly. So please, how can I set up Caller ID to display another number? Does Nextiva not support this?

Hi,

change of Caller ID must be supported on VoIP provider side.

It seems that Nextiva doesn't support it for account you have. You would need to ask Nextiva if they offer such feature.
