Hi All,

I am testing Kerio Connect for a few moments and it works out very well for me.

I installed it a test PC ( P4 3,0Ghz 1Gb, 80 Gb, 1 Gbit LAN) on Windows 2003, and it works very well. It has no problems. Receives email, sorts it, so basicly nothing wrong.

I installed a more recent PC ( Core 2 Duo 2,6Ghz 4GB, 1TB & 80GB, 1Gbit LAN) on Windows 2003. Ghosted (with Symantec ghost solution suite 2.5.1) the drive where 80Gb Pata to a 80GB Sata drive. PC is working well on Windows 2003. Finds the ghosted disc, which has all the info of the PATA drive. Installed Kerio again and made it refer to the 80GB Sata drive where all the info of Kerio now is. Start Kerio, and everything is working fine.

Strangly is after a few hours or minutes ( each time differend) it stops collection email from the external servers. If i stop Kerio and start Kerio again it will work again. Have searched in this forum and found that it could be my NIC. Changed the power setting in the NIC but nothing changed. I deleted account for download POP3 from the external server and i filled it fresh in. Same problem comes back after x amount of time.

The logbooks do not show any errors and the computer has no yellow ! in its hardware devices.

Can somebody please help me with some tips, or have seen this problem earlier.

Hope some one can help me.

Thanks in advance

I guess the logs must show something if POP3 Mail can't be collected. On the debug log, enable "Remote POP3 Download" logging and post the relevant log snippets here.

I placed the old P4 back and booted and keeps working, with no problems. I will take a look tonight on the core 2 duo system. Where can i enable pop 3 download logging? If i look in the debbuging log of the P4 i dont see any problems.

When trying to enable the logging option, make sure you are right-clicking in the right window pane of the Debug log.

I think logging will be the most useful thing to do to try figuring out why Kerio Connect is periodically unable to download POP3 mail.

I recommend upgrading too. Version 7.1.3 is fairly old. The latest version is 7.4.2.

I have found the debug remote pop3. I will test this tomorrow on the Core 2 Duo system and post it.

@ Jeff thank you for the tip, i will set it up tomorrow for the logging files. Some one adviced me to test Kerio Connect and gave as a test run the setup file. Did not know kerio was far further then the version i test.

It has been updated to the lastest version of kerio. It still gives the same problems.
Within a few minutes it stopped and after a restart it worked last night for 10 hours straight on. Noticable is / was: When i woke up and replied on a e-mail by iPhone within minutes it stopped working. Could this be the problem?
Also i swapped the hard drive where Kerio works on, but it doesn't change the problem.

You have to add a schedule for POP3. For example you have to tell it that it should get the mails every 15 minutes.

It is been set for each minute to check on new email. But still it runs for a short time and then it stops again.

Try to set it to 5 or 10 minutes. May be your provider doesn't allow 1 minute intervals. Also make sure that you have assignesd the schedule to the POP3 entry and that it is marked as active.

Thanx for the response. The ISP accept it because on the P4 with the same configuration setting for kerio it works fine. So that may not be the issue. I guess that the POP3 entry is active because it works for a number of time and then stops. But on the P4 systems it keeps working.

I found the following warning in the event viewer: " intel amt uns failed to get eac status ID 2001"

Could this something have to do with it? If so how can i fix it?
