Just an FYI of an unusual new rule that is in the updated Spam Assassin system with the newer Connect release.

FROM_12LTRDOM = Emails from domains with 12 letters in their name, adds either 2.0 or 3.8 to spam score.

I was looking through my marked spam emails and saw the acknowledgment for a webinar from (12 letters long in the domain name) that was marked as spam. Looking at the spam ratings, this is what it put it over my threshold. Quick lookup on Spam Assassin's web site, and I'm left wondering who came up with that rule. I'm sure they had a good reason, but seems pretty broad to me.

You can override the score by editing your ..\MailServer\plugins\spamassassin\rules\ file and putting the entry at the bottom:
score FROM_12LTRDOM 0
(or put whatever # instead of 0 that you want to use)

Save the changes to, and restart Connect. You will want to keep a copy of the changes that you make to somewhere else as well, since every update to Connect overwrites the file with the default one, wiping out any changes that you have made.
