We have two companies, each with it's own Kerio connect server. They are in the same building, but because they are separate legal entities, we cannot host them on the same Kerio server.

Let's call the servers mail.company1.com and mail.company2.com

I would like users on company1.com to be able to see the calendars of users on company2.com (and vice versa).

Is this something that can be done with "distributed domains?" After reading through the documentation, it is unclear to me whether this is possible.

If nothing else, the online documentation should be much clearer on this issue. Once you split up a domain into a master and slave (or several slaves), the users on the slave server(s) are effectively cut off from users on the master server.

You can't share mail boxes/calendars, public folders or resources between servers in a distributed domain, which effectively means it's less than useful for a large-ish, single company. We migrated a few users to a slave server, but we immediately migrated them back again after almost all of their groupware functionality disappeared.

For us, distributed domains does not actually do anything and has little benefit.

Yes, this feature is planned for multi-server technology (Kerio Connect 8.5.0). Now it's in testing phase.
