Based on your feedback, we are proud to introduce a new release of Kerio APIs Client Library for PHP which contains a brand new technical demonstration of how to use another piece of the Kerio APIs - Kerio Connect Client.
Please note that this Kerio Connect client API is currently under development and might change in the future.
About Kerio Connect Client
The Kerio Connect webmail interface has been completely overhauled. Both the architecture and the UI design have been taken back to the drawing board to deliver the performance and experience users expect from a modern web application. In this release, all functions are already fully functional, delivering the right balance of features, usability and graphical design.
Inside it runs the same technology JSON-RPC as we use everywhere in Kerio products. Now you have a unique opportunity to try this API part and also execute regular tasks as end user.
About the Addressbook.app Utility
Let us suppose you have created several contacts folders via Webmail (Sales, Customers, etc.). When you now sync your Apple Addressbook with the Kerio Connect server, these different contacts folders do not appear as groups.
The Addressbook.app utility brings a perfect remedy to limitation of the CardDAV protocol in some applications. For more information see the related KB article at http://kb.kerio.com/article/contacts-folders-in-apple-addressbook-app-via-carddav-954.html.
The utility can be found under sample applications.
Out of Office?
We have often been asked if there is an option to set Out of Office via API. This is now possible thanks to the new API in Kerio Connect Client. See a simple demonstration located in examples/other/OutOfOffice.php script.
Changes in 1.2.0
Added a new example for Kerio Operator - Get recorded calls
Added a new sample application for Kerio Connect Client - Addressbook.app Utility
Several library improvements
The new release, version 1.2 is now available for you to try out in Kerio Developer Zone.
As we always do, we’ll love to get your feedback.
About Kerio APIs Client Library for PHP
Kerio APIs Client Library for PHP (i.e. kerio-api-php) is designed as a layer between user application and Kerio Connect server. With kerio-api-php, you can easily communicate directly with your Kerio Connect server without diving deep into underlining JSON-RPC architecture. Encapsulation of JSON requests and response is done automatically by the library.
