When managing resources for Control, what levers result in the biggest gains? How many vCPUs can the appliance OS reasonably manage (1,2,3,...)? How much does RAM matter?

I'm more interested in whether adding more vCPUs to the Control VM is worth the effort. But, I figured it couldn't hurt to broaden the thread to other performance tweaks that could be valuable.

If we get some good responses, this might make a good sticky idea.

And, yes, I'm too lazy (or busy, based on your PoV) to try all the levers myself right now.
