Hi I'm trying to change the config to include a company logo and change some of the other global features in the .cnf file. I did a download of the config file and then TFTPed it up but doesnt seem to be changing the phone config. I also looked in the /opt/kerio/opterator/firmware directory and changed the SIP79XX.cfg file which looks like I could add global options there but operator doesnt seem to load these files. Is there a easy way to do this?

Hi,

Did you preserve the configuration file name and did you upload it to /var/tftp ?

I can do the scp of the config file and it works fine. What I was hoping or looking at was there is a .cfg file in the firmware directory under /opt/kerio/operator that is a template of the .cnf that is generated for each phone. I was hoping/wanting to know if there was a way to change this file so everytime the template is used it would use my settings also. Looking at this feature for a large environment would like to point logos over to a server and then write a small php file to dynamiclly pull a addressbook out of exchange and display the phone extensions in the phonebook on the phones.

There is a way to change the template. It's just that after modifying the template file you need to run a special script to push the updated template to the configuration database. If you are interested, I can send the script to you. Contact me at vtoncar at kerio dot com.
