Hello everyone,

I have been having trouble getting my Snom phones (821) to connect to operator. Unfortunately, I do not have a DHCP server that supports option 66 in the network. Because of this, manually provisioning it is (unless there is another way around it). I have tried most settings but I am still having a problem registering the phone and have it make internal calls.

I'll be happy when 2.1 goes live.

Any settings or thoughts anyone wants to share?

Thanks!

Hi,

The attached screenshot shows a typical configuration in the 'Identity' screen. I took the screenshot in the web configuration of Snom 720, so it should be pretty close to your 821.

Hi,

I can auto-provision my snom phones from Operator as follows:

1. Open the web interface on your Snom phone

2. Go Advanced > Update

3. Click in the field 'Setting URL:' and enter

tftp://your.Operator.server

IMPORTANT NOTE TO SAVE YOU HEARTACHE: that is "tftp" in the URL Smile

4. Click Reboot and reboot phone

This works for me. I do this to Snom phones out of the box. Good luck,

ft.
