When I delete a message it does not go to Trash. If I switch back to the old webmail and delete another message, it goes to Deleted Items and if I then switch back to K8C, the message is in Trash.

I'm confused Smile

"Trash" folder in new client is the same folder as Deleted Items in old webmail or IMAP. It's just named better to be more familiar to users.

Yes, Pavel, I know that.

You missed what I said: when I delete in the new client, it doesn't go anywhere. It disappears, but is not in trash.

Interesting what's happening here.

Some time ago I deleted a user and moved their messages to my folders.

That's where KC8 deletions are going (see .jpg)

But that's ONLY if I use KC8 - if I switch back to the old webmail, deletions go to Deleted Items and will be in Trash when I switch back to KC8.

This is an interesting and probably very unusual bug.

I'm going to remove those folders and see what happens then..

Ok, fixed now:

After removing the Deleted user, deleted items would appear to delete but they actually went nowhere.

I switched back to old webmail and found the messages still in my inbox. I deleted them again in Old Webmail and they went to Deleted Items.

Switched back to KC8 and now when I delete something, it does go to trash..

So, Pavel, I'd say there is a sneaky little bug somewhere. The KC8 apparently decided that the Deleted Items in the transferred folder was a better place to use than mine. When I deleted those folders, it didn't know what to do so it just IMAP deleted them, leaving them in the INBOX.

Old webmail did know what to do and that seems to have reset KC8 so it works correctly now.

Lots of fun Smile

How is this more familiar to users when using it with Outlook that has a "Deleted Items" folder? How is this more familiar to users when they've used your webmail for years and it always had a "Deleted Items" folder?

Perhaps it would be better if we could rename the folder however we like ("My funky old junk") and/or specifically select a folder to be used for Trash.
