Hi,

Our Kerio server is version 7.4.1, running on Mac OS X Server 10.7.

One of our clients uses BaseCamp, and they have setup BaseCamp to send notification emails to their email accounts. This used to work, but at some point it stopped working. I am not sure when, because they client didn't notice until recently. I searched all the logs based on the sending IP addresses listed on BaseCamp's website, and found no log at all. I got in contact with BaseCamp support, and they said that emails send to our Kerio server is being "deferred". Here is the log from BaseCamp support (IP, domain, and client email modified):

Dec 13 21:33:35 mail-relay-05 basecampaf/smtp[11910]: 7AFF73FC9B: to=<johndoe<_at_>clientdomain.com>, relay=kerio.companydomain.com[123.123.123.123]:25, delay=1061, delays=1021/20/20/0.12, dsn=4.4.2, status=deferred (lost connection with kerio.companydomain.com[123.123.123.123] while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)

Does anyone know what could cause this problem?

Thanks.

Is there an SMTP proxy between Kerio Connect and the Internet?

Also, switch on "SMTP Server" in the debug log and the trigger a basecamp e-mail. Check if the basecamp IP address connects.

BTW, which one is your domain? clientdomain.com or companydomain.com?

No SPTM proxy, I'll turn on the log and report back. Our domain is companyomain.com, client domain is their own and different from ours.
