Hi, we have been testing kerio operator since the first release on our office, and found it simple, complete. After deciding to show it to our customers we were testing it
quite well until now that we have our first customer that needs a special configuration which includes a SIp trunk with 20 lines, and 16 POTS/PSTN lines. Also they want to use their legacy phones internally.

this bring the decision on which card we need to uss for the POTS/PSTN lines and we found that Kerio only supports Digium tdm-410 cards, but that only works for 4 external lines.
and our need is 16. How about TDM2404 Cards? Are they supported? Can we use them? Have any ideas to work with them, have somebody already solve a problem like this?

The other part is the Internal legacy phones, is there a way we could use an FXS gateway, like Grandstream model with 24 ports? Or we need to buy those expensive 2 ports gateways?

Hope you can help me with configuration, tips or feedback to close this first business with Kerio operator.

BTW I'm using an HP Dl360 Server with 8Gb RAM and enough disk space for this.

Best regards and happy Hollidays from Ecuador.

Augusto

Hi Augusto,

When it comes to analog cards, Operator only supports the TDM410P.

I'd recommend using some FXO-to-SIP gateway instead. Using the FXS-to-SIP gateway for the analog phones is probably the best solution as well.

thanks Vladimir. Any experience with a brand?
I found a fxo-sip gateway with 8 ports, can I use 2 of this for configuring the 16 PSTN lines?

Hi,

We have not tested these bigger FXO gateways so far.

You can use two gateways. You will need to figure out the routing, probably assign both gateways to the same outbound prefix.
