We recently acquired two other companies. One of my first tasks is to combine all the users under one mail server. For the foreseeable future, we want all e-mail addresses to retain their old domain name. On the client (Outlook) side, it is easy to configure what "reply-to" e-mail address to use.

On the server side, I can either make the two new domains aliases for the original, or create new stand-alone domains. An advantage to the stand-alone domains is that it will minimize the trouble of providing proper e-mail domain identity.

However, two things we MUST have are an integrated global address book, and the ability to do free/busy calendar searches between domains. i.e. 'joe@domain-1.com' can do a free/busy while setting up a meeting with 'jane<_at_>domain-2.com' Can we do those things if the domains are separate, or do I need to make the new domains aliases of the original?

Forgot to mention that we are on KC 8.0
