Hi All,
we have installed:
Kerio Connect mail server version 8.0.0 build 639
MS Windows XP CZ Pro, version 2002 with SP3
MS Outlook 2003 (11.8169.8172) with SP3

And KOC still displays the error message
"Error 28102 Unsupported version of Microsoft Outlook was detected...."

WHY ??????? Mad

Do you have all Microsoft updates installed? Particularly KB2449798 - read http://www.kerio.com/connect/requirements#tabset-tab-2

I had that problem and was able to install the MS update which cured it for us.

In addition, the Outlook 2003 installations I'm having problems with are version 11.8217.8221 -- current appears to be 11.8330.8341. I can't find a way to get the problem installations to the newer version.

We have the same issue here.

Windows 7 / Office 2003 SP3 [11.0.8169]

KB905649 cannot be installed as it is for a different Office version.

Are there any workarounds to make this work?

Regards,
Peter

Hi All,

I have found two solutions. A hack and a proper one.

1) HACK
I had a PC where the version of the office was 11.8330.
So I copied over the files to the wrong PC. As all of the dlls were updated Kerio found everything OK. Smile

2) PROPER SOLUTION
I have found a link on the windows update screen.
Go to: "Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Update" there should be a link at the bottom which says: "Get updates for other windows products"

Click on it. It will open a browser. Click install.

Go back to the win update screen and click "check for updates", it should find all of the missing updates.

That's it. I hope this helps.

Regards,
Peter

FWIW, I experienced this when attempting to install KOC instead of KOFF in Win7 with Office 2010 onto a VHD. We still use Kerio 7.4.3. Per Kerio the KOC is legacy and incompatible with Win7, hence the error 28102. I caved and installed KOFF on that VHD and it worked perfectly, but of course now there are gigabytes of cache on that VHD...
