Trying to migrate a customer from a hosted Exchange to our Hosted Kerio service. The IMAP Migration is failing after it transfers a few messages. Currently I'm trying to transfer just one user to get it working. Below is a snipet of the debug log from IMAP Migration:

I'll also attach the entire debug log from the session.

This very urgent to get corrected, as the customer is using our service, but does not have access to their old messages, since the migration has been failing.

It seems like some kind of restriction on the Exchange side

Is there any reason why not to use KEMT instead of KIMT?

Yes, it is hosted exchange, so there is no server level admin access to the Exchange server.

Spoke with a Kerio tech in Australia yesterday, and after a couple of more tries, we think we figured out what the problem may be. We think the hosted exchange is not allowing enough IMAP connections to the accounts to get the messages off the exchange server.

One other "gotcha" we've seen migrating to Kerio from Exchange is illegal character usage in folder names. Specifically a "/" in the name. We've used imapsync to bring imap email over and it chokes on these characters.

We are not aware of any issue with slash (/ or \) in the foldername. Internet Message Access Protocol has not been changed since late 1990s. See the RFC 3501 about naming convention:
By convention, international mailbox names in IMAP4rev1 are specified
using a modified version of the UTF-7 encoding described in [UTF-7].
Modified UTF-7 may also be usable in servers that implement an
   earlier version of this protocol.

In modified UTF-7, printable US-ASCII characters, except for "&",
represent themselves; that is, characters with octet values 0x20-0x25
and 0x27-0x7e. The character "&" (0x26) is represented by the
   two-octet sequence "&-".

All other characters (octet values 0x00-0x1f and 0x7f-0xff) are
represented in modified BASE64, with a further modification from
[UTF-7] that "," is used instead of "/". Modified BASE64 MUST NOT be
used to represent any printing US-ASCII character which can represent
   itself.

If everyone stays on point, they would realize that the filename or folder name is not the issue. The '/' is denoting a sub-folder. The problem appears to be with the Exchange server not allowing the simultaneous connections.

What I think that means, is that Kerio, needs to make the number of simultaneous connections adjustable so that we can avoid this issue. My client has had to switch to paid service to migrate the data, since KIMT was unable to handle the issue of the connection with the Exchange server limitation.
