I am trying to configure two Cisco 7900 series phones for operator. I know I need to convert the firmware on them from SCCP to SIP. I have everything setup for updating the firmware TFTP server etc. The problem is them phone Keeps looking for an XMLDefault.cnf.xml file(according to the TFTP server log) Where can I get this file? Do I really need it?

the XMLDefault.cnf.xml file contains information about which firmware files to load.

You can upgrade the phones by using the build-in tftp server. Just copy the files to /var/tftp/ and reboot the phone.

Enabling ssh and copying files is described here: ion-kerio-operator/uploading-configuration-files-to-kerio-op erator-tftp-server-1014.html
