I am trying to get the Operator backup API to work but continually get out of memory. I noticed the set_memory_limit(128) already matches my php.ini. I have increasing it to 256 but then my php engine just stops working.

Ideas?

Update: The Operator server I was trying to work with currently has a backup file that is 160MB. So I tried with a different server and it worked. However, the api backup only produced a file that is 672KB but when I run the backup from the admin console it is 29.8MB.

Why the huge difference? (All options were checked on also)

Hi,
hard to guess. What the server error log says? Any PHP warnings when ini_set("display_errors", 1)?

If still nothing helps I would try set $api->setDebug(TRUE) before the $api->createBackup() is executed.

So a few things happen ...

the api debug shows everything correct, but I get errors saying Failed to Create Backup.

When I turn on error_reporting(E_ALL); I get this: PHP Fatal error: Unable to download backup, allowed memory size of 1053296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 107390863 bytes)

Could it be because the backup file is too large?

Memory limit is probably the cause. The biggest part would be logs I guess.
