I am in a bit of a pickle with a customer of mine. They were battling with Outlook being slow so I created sub-folders per year e.g. Sent Items\2011 - I then moved the messages relevant to each year into those folders.

I did this on the Inbox and Sent Items.

Since then there are many older Sent Items messages that show the attachment paper clip in Outlook but there is no attachment to open.

I also looked at the .eml files in the message store folder for this mailbox and the file sizes show that there is an attachment.

Please help, is there anyway to recover these attachments?

I recommend you to empty KOFF local cache ASAP. All messages will be downloaded from server again.

Thanks for the responses.

I failed to mention in my post that I did a check via webmail and thought I saw the problem there too - that's when I panicked.

I did do another webmail check and I think you are right, that it is just the cache that needs clearing.
