As we now have users bringing their personal laptops and smartphones in, I've started to see them sending email through Kerio Connect as "from" a different domain than the company domain.
I've verified all the settings are correct against the manual (and various forum posts regarding relaying) - but there doesn't seem to be anything to stop users from relaying emails from other domains after they have authenticated to the server.
For example: Company domain is example.com
The user's email address is jjm<_at_>example.com
jjm's laptop authenticates to the Kerio Connect server (email@example.com) and then sends an email from firstname.lastname@example.org to someone<_at_>gmail.com THROUGH the Kerio Connect server.
I want to ensure that only email from the company domain can be sent from the company email server.
To solve this problem we started using a relay service (DYN.com) to relay outgoing mail. They will only relay messages from domains that we can verify that are ours.
The disadvantage of this is they also block Out of office messages which Kerio shows a <> as the sender.
