Have one user here (the Co President) that is getting this error sending to another user (VP) in the same domain. Other users can send to the VP fine. If the Co President sends the email to another user and they forward it to the VP, the same thing happens, error 4.4.1. The Co President can send to other users within and outside of the domain just fine. There is an alias setup in Kerio that delivers to the exact email address the Co President uses to send to the VP. If he sends to the alias, it gets forwarded to the VP's email just fine.

Using Outlook 2010 on both machines. The Co President, VP and ALL other users are on the same Kerio server hosted on the same subnet as the clients.

Any Ideas as to what is going on here?

Really hard to say, but i would sugest you to turn on smtp debug on the server and look at logs. Have you tried to send that email from another email (web)client? Try to setup Co President's account on another pc and send email from there ( if you use pop3 don't forget to check option to keep messages on the server ) And you should look at that email address if there is not some typo or invalid character. And you can sniffer smtp connection Smile

Thanks for the suggestions. The Co President can send the email to the VP without using the alias from his iPhone.
Will turn on smtp debug and see what it shows. No typo in email address.

In which form are you getting this error message? Is this a returned email or is this an immediate pop-up when you press the send button?

Also, there should be more information than just "4.4.1". Isn't there an error description? 4.4.1 is normally "Cannot connect to remote host", which would be strange as you send to your local domain.

Check your security and mail log and post the relevant lines here.
