Hi,

I have 3 users/extensions, each user/extension has it's own number for outgoing calls.

Now each user has to call with a prefix to use the propper account for it's outgoing call.

So: user 1 wants to call using prefix 1 has to call 1.... and so on..

Is there a possibility to auto add a prefix so the account for outgoing calls is always selected and the user doesn't have to call using the prefix?

PS: read somewhere about automatic linking of the inbound number to the outbound number. Can't find any info on that though..Sad

Thanks in advance,
Eric

Hi,

The automatic linking is there - if an external number is mapped to the user's extension for inbound call, the same external number is preferred for outbound calls as well. So you could link multiple interfaces under the same dial-out prefix.

You can have multiple interfaces assigned to the same prefix. And the dial-out prefix can be empty.

Hi,

Probabbly we do misunderstand eachother.

I mean:

Customer 1 has 1 extension and 1 outgoing number prefix empty

Customer 2 has 1 extension and 1 outgoing number prefix 1

In this case customer 1 doesn't need to dail a prefix for an outside line. Customer 2 has to dial a 1.

Is it possible to create a config in which both customers don't need to dial a prefix without using eachother outgoing numbers?

Or define one of the default prefix number to a specific extension/user?

You mention "customers". So are you trying to achieve some kind of multi-tenancy? In that case, since Operator is a single-tenant solution, I would recommend to use a separate dial-out prefix for each customer. You should also use call permissions so that each customer can only dial numbers starting with his prefix.
