Hi Guys,

after upgrading from Kerio Connect 8.0.2, the error, warning and security logs were cluttered with messages from the IM Service being unable to start due to 5 problems. Anyone else got this problem?

cheers
Chris

Chris,

Can you let us see some of these errors? I'm not aware of anything like this so far, so if we can see the errors we may be able to advise further.

Chris,

it seems that your admin service is not listening on loopback interface (it is not accessible from 127.0.0.1). Unfortunately such a configuration is not supported and IM service will not work.

If this is not that case, could you please send us error.log, warning.log, debug.log and also mailserver.cfg?

Cheers,
Tomas Skoda

Hi Thomas,

As you can see (attached image), the services are listening to 'any' interface. Anywhere I can send the logs to, as I don't want to publish them to anyone out there...

Besides that, 'Caused by Username or password is not correct.' does not sound like it cannot connect...

Alright guys, thanks for pointing me into the right direction.

Solution: mailserver.cfg in /opt/kerio/mailserver did list the SASL Service which was listening to 127.0.0.1 - had to change that to 0.0.0.0 et voilĂ ...

Think I'm able to solve the remaining problems on my own now. Thanks
