My users use streaming radio all of the time, mostly Clear Channel stations.

Are you willing to share which station is cause the problems?

I went there to play around and noticed that the stations use different players. Most noticeably, a lot of them use WMP. I know in Europe that Microsoft was forced to remove that from their base OS, along with IE.

Could it be possible that the users having the problems don't have WMP?

I only had problems with Radio 10 Gold. Otherwise, it appeared all the other stations worked here (Washington, DC, USA).
