Hello all, we have created a mailbox called "old" to store old email messages etc from past employees and the like. Before this old mail boxes were moved to one of the managers mailboxes. He took it upon himself to move these messages to the "old" account using Mac Mail, now all the messages he moved have changed there sent/received dates to the day they were moved. Is there a script or something that can go through the headers of these emails and recover the original dates? Also, what is the preferred method of moving messages from one mailbox to another, keeping all the date information etc intact.

We are using Kerio Connect 8.1 running on OSX 10.8.3.

Many Thanks

Mike Drew

time stamps are being changed when messages are downloaded via pop3 and moved. I don't think there's a way to recover the original time stamps. That's why not pop but imap should be used.

Hi Mike,

Did you solve this issue? Did you find or create a script?

I'm facing the same problem. Old mails have been moved (a long time ago) and the file modified date changed. Therefore all moved mails now have the same receive date. Though the header contains the correct date.

Exchange? Or Exchange-IMAP?
Exchange Web Services protocol is not supported for Apple Mail clients.

No never got it resolved,
It would be what ever the "integrate with Mac" does.
