1. Are the port(s)assigned to the LAN switch a trunk port?

- if yes, do I have to configure multi-homing to the manual ip config to the LAN switch port? (Assuming I don't have a managed switch connected to the port).

2. Can I configure 2 ports to be setup for the same vlan?

1. That depends upon a number of factors. Vendors use terminologies differently. By default, most switches will treat a port as a non-trunk port (untagged). You assign a port to a VLAN. This is device specific. You typically have to go through additional configuration to enable multiple VLANs to egress a port (trunk port).

2. Of course. That's the whole point Smile.
