Hey all,

I have an issue with Outlook 2010 and the running of rules when new email arrives. I have a 2 rules set up to filter email based on sender, and move them to the appropriate folders. However, these rules do not run when new email arrives, I have to manually kick off the rule and then it runs fine.

I searched via google, found some people reporting the same issues, followed their steps of deleting the .srs files, deleting the rules, re-creating the rules, but I still can't get them to run when new email arrives.

Does anyone else have this issue when using Outlook 2010 and Kerio Connect server?

Yes, my users have this problem all the time.
It looks like Kerio's Outlook connector makes Outlook ignore it's rules.

However, Kerio provides their own email rules that you can set up, and these do work mostly.

In outlook 2010, go to Kerio Connect tab > Options > Filtering Rules

Mid 2015: Quit Kerio and moved to Exchange 2013 and Meraki.
Kerio Control 8.4.0--Used since it was WinRoute, many years ago
Kerio Connect 8.4.0 on Ubuntu. Bought Connect just in time for the switch to NO SUPPORT(aka pay for support). Not. Happy.

Uh, wait. This is not Solved.
Kerio rules prevent Outlook rules from processing? Then Kerio rules should be at least as powerful as outlook rules.
But this doesn't seem to be the case. What about filtering on body text, just to give the simplest example?
What I do like, is the "Edit Script" button in Kerio filtering rules, so you can copy/paste rules without going through all the GUI options. Now I hope that the script is more powerful than the listed entries in the GUI. Does someone know extra options? Would they make the Kerio rules more powerful than the Outlook ones anyway?
