I have backup up my mail server from a Mac and now want to move it to an Ubuntu machine.

I backed up the mailserver.cfg and the users.cfg files from the linux server before the migration (to keep references to the correct folder for mail store)

I used kmsrecover to recover the entire backup from the Mac and seemed to work fine. I ran ./kmsrecover <path to backup>

I checked to make sure there were folders in /opt/kerio/mailserver/store/mail and all of the domain folders were in there with the user mailboxes in each.

I copied the config files that I had backed up before I started back into Kerio (so I can get my local folder settings back, otherwise it will use the paths that were on the Mac).

When I log in to Kerio web mail with one of the users, there is no inbox, sent, or any folders on the left hand pane.

I know I must have done something wrong with the way I restored the backup but I don't know what. Do I have to change something else in the config to get it working after restoring the mailboxes?

The moving of Kerio Connect between operating systems requires a changes in configuration files, deleting of Bayes database, re-registration of license...

see this article for more: http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/server-configurati on/export-and-migration/how-do-i-move-kerio-connect-from-one -machine-to-another-or-change-operating-systems-360.html

Yes that worked. Instead of just copying the config files over top, I edited the one that came from the backup and it worked.
Thanks.
