Hi,

I've just updated from 8.0.2 to 8.1.2.

Now all shared calendars are gone in iCal.
I played a little with the permissions, but no luck.

Any advice?!

EDIT: In webmail the calendars work fine.

Thanks
Silverstar

I've seen it where the caldav database can take a LONG time to upgrade and for the calendars to re-populate in iCal/Calendar. If it doesn't come back after a while check this out:

Hi HoosierMac,

thanks for your reply.
What's a LONG time?
I've done the update 24 hours ago... should I wait or should I go with your hint i nthe kb?

EDIT: reindexing the public folders brought back the calendards for the public folder admins. Normal users still don't see anything in iCal.

EDIT2: public folders gone again, also for the folder admins Sad

Thanks
Silverstar

I think you need to file a support ticket with Kerio at this point. There seems to be something else going on there.

Did you delete the .caldav.db file?

Thank you HoosierMac.
I've filed a support ticket.

Sadfully the response says that this is a known bug with iCal and they're working on a fix but can't say how long it takes.

A warning for Apple/iCal users before the update would have been nice in my opinion.

Now I'm thinking about downgrading back to 8.0.2...

Wow, at least they acknowledge it. That has happened a few times in the past, that's part of the hazard about working with 3rd party apps. Apple doesn't write Calendar/iCal to work with Kerio, they write it to work with OS X Server. Sometimes things break, Kerio's pretty responsive about fixing issues like this.

Silverstar,

Any update on this issue? I have a number of Apple clients I would like to upgrade but this concerns me since they use iCal (and Calendar in Mountain Lion)

Thanks!

Hi cgilbert,

sadly not Sad
And there is still no warning for Mac users.

I yould recommend you not to update if you're using public calendars.
Calendars shared between users are still working fine.

Will this issue finally be solved in Kerio Connect 8.2.0?

EDIT: Forget about it. Just read the changelog of 8.1.3 and will give it a try Wink

Please let me know the result...I installed the BETA yesterday but yet to put any live data in it.

As I said before, all of my clients are Apple based and after reading your post...they are staying at 8.0.2

Thanks!

I know you are giving it some time but I thought I would check to see if 8.1.3 has helped to resolve your issues.

I'm hoping to upgrade some of my clients this weekend.

Thanks

Hi cgilbert,

I've installed 8.1.3 over 8.1.2 an the calendars came back.
So far everything works fine.

I think, you can safely upgrade your clients Smile
