Hi,

I am evaluating Kerio Connect, with the final goal of replacing our Exchange Server (and do the same for several of our customers).

However I cannot find how can I implement this:

In several instalations we use DataEnter's PopBeamer to connect to a mail server on the ISP, and use only one account to collect all messages. PopBeamer uses the header of the messages (To,CC,BCC) to deliver the messages to the right mailboxes.
In same cases we even collect messages from several servers.

To clarify the process:
Customer has domain XYZ.COM - the mail server is on the ISP, where there is an account that accepts all emails to *<_at_>XYZ.COM
Every X minutes, PopBeamer connects to the server, using IMAP, and collects and distribute the messages to the "real" exchange mail boxes.
(sending by is handled by Exchange SMTP connector, which connects to the smtp server on the ISP.

Is there any way to implement such a process with Kerio?

TIA,
Carlos

Hi Carlos

Welcome to the Kerio forums!

I'm afraid we don't actually support Popbeamer, but Connect has its own POP3 collection system built in. if the 3rd party mail/ISP supports pop, you can then use this to collect mail from a central mail box and then sort by the header.

Its all detailed in the Connect Admin guide.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I understand that you don't support Popbeamer, I was only giving the background to the current scenario.

And I ended up to mislead you: we use PopBeamer to collect messages using authenticated IMAP (it's a requirement of one our ISP), not POP3 (which PopBeamer also supports).

Does connect supports IMAP?

TIA,

Carlos Crespo

Hi Carlos

Yes, we support IMAP, but for clients. So any Imap client can connect to Kerio and collect mail. We do not collect from ISP's via IMAP as Popbeamer does, only via POP.

Could the mail provider send the mail direct via SMTP to Connect so that you do not need to collect? just have it delivered direct?

I hope this helps.
