Just updated from Connect 7.4.2 to 8.1.2. Clients all have the Kerio Updater Service installed. Had one user that would get the error:

Error 1925. You do not have sufficient privileges to complete this installation for all users of the machine. Log on as an administrator and then retry this installation.

The user is not an administrator. I thought that the Updater Service was supposed to overcome this limitation.

Logging on as an administrator did allow the update to progress normally.

Any ideas why it didn't work with the Updater Service running?

Yes, if the updater service is not installed, it will require an Administrator authorisation, however if it is installed, it should not request the authorisation every update.

I think in this particular case, the installation may have gone wrong. Technical support have an uninstallation tool which should be used to remove all traces of the Kerio Outlook Connector, and then you should be able to reinstall, it should then update correctly in the future.

Please contact support, since this file is only provided on demand.

As a failure of the KOFF connector to install correctly, it would be regarded as a bug and should be provided as a free incident.
