I notice in the new version of KC, when iPhone users run the setup from the web, the default is now IMAP and not Exchange. Is there a way to make the default Exchange again. Its confusing for our people and they don't like how it works now. Any suggestions?

Also the web mail client is still unusable. The old version is very good and I've made that the default. I still can't understand how anyone would thing the new web mail is usable. You can't even sort by date or sender.

Hi McIrish

I'm afraid that our default configuration/auto setup for iOS devices is for IMAP/Caldav/Cardav, and not Exchange Activesync as this is an add-on licenced service now.

You will need to manually configure iOS for Exchange I'm afraid.

The New webmail client is being updated and improved though, and there will be major changes coming when 8.2.0 is released later this year (including sorting by date and sender!).

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Mark. It's too bad there isn't a switch we could have to make Active Sync the default (for those who paid for it). I'm looking forward to the new web mail becoming usable someday. Right now, it was a real step backwards. I feel like it was a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Hello again!

Actually, I've since found out there is still a sub-link during the setup process on the 'setup my phone' link on the Webmail login page.

when you click on the 'mail, calendar, contacts' option, there is a link that states 'Use Exchange Activesync instead' under there so you can still set this up, which is nice to know!

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mark. I do know that it does have a link to setup iPhones for active sync. I was just hoping it could be set as the default because my guys keep missing the link.
