Hello,

we use Kerio Connect as Mailclient in an installation of a surveillance network.
Kerio receives all status mails from the system.

I want to access the Kerio database via VBS and read all mailheader data
to extract the sender ip.

Is it possible to access the database via VBS or
can I realize this requirement with the Kerio API.

Regards

Sebastian

As long as you don't need to see the message content, it's probably easier to simply read the 'Mail' log on the mail server. We push ours into an MS-SQL database using kiwi syslog. Parsing the log record into date, time, sender, recipient, and size is a pretty trivial matter.

Good is better than evil because it's nicer

That's a good point. Thank you.
What are the credentials to access the MS-SQL database?
I want to test this point.

Some mails have image attachments.
So I need to see the message content, attachments and header.
How can I achive this?

I guess there is some misunderstanding here. Kerio Connect does not store emails in the database, there is no MS-SQL.

Oh, I misunderstood BudDurland's message.
He was talking about parsing the mail log of kiwi syslog which is stored in MS-SQL.

So there aren't any possibilities to get script access to
the mails managed by Kerio?

If you need just Sender's IP address, you can parse mail.log from the Connect. It's normal text file.

Back again Wink

Unfortunatly I also need access to the mailbody and header.
How can I get access to both via VBS?

Thanks in advance
