I have had this issue about 3 times over the past month or so. I am using the Digium 4 port pci fxo card. After a random amount of time, all inbound calls to any of the 4 analogue lines give the busy signal. To correct this, I just restart the telephony service and everything is up and running again. Anybody else experience this issue? All 4 ports still show green in the call routing menu.

Anything interesting in the error/warning log?

The warning log shows this at the time before and when I reset the telephony server:

The Error log shows the following around the time when it wasnt working and the reset:

[21/Aug/2013 09:25:23] Asterisk is not running. File /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.pid doesn't exist.

These seem a little off, but I couldn't pinpoint anything related to the analogue card. I assume the Asterisk server not responding was when I reset the telephony service. Does anything jump out at you?

Hi,

Do you have the correct country and signaling configured on the interfaces? It sounds like the ports are not hung up when a call ends.

You could verify this by making four inbound calls in sequence and hanging them up on the analog(remote) side. I believe that after doing that you won't be able to make a fifth call.

When hanging the calls on the local end I didn't experience any difficulties. I was able to fix it by using the correct signaling/...

I haven't been able to test this in the specific way outlined. However we receive 100+ calls on average on the analogue lines daily. I would assume this would meet the criteria of calling each one to see if it is hanging up.

Regarding signaling, what signaling should I be using in the United States? It is currently fxs_ks.

Thanks for the help.
