If users of iOS 6.1 devices, either iPad or iPhone, are sending an e-mail with large attachment, e.g. a *.jpeg file of 2.5 MB, recipients using iOS 6.1. devices too receive the e-mail with the note, that this e-mail was loaded as plain text only. The e-mail itself contains a *.txt file, which delivers the e-mail text and a download link, which opens the attachment within the e-mail without error.

After complete loading of the e-mail, which is offered as option in the footer of this particular e-mail, the attachment, e.g. a *.jpeg file, will be converted into an linked icon, which is now not opening the attachment anymore.

I am using Kerio Connect 8.1.2 as VMware virtual appliance installed at an Mac Mini Server using the current version of Mountain Lion. Within Kerio Connect both options, decoding of TNEF messages and conversion of unencoded messages to MIME, are enabled. The problem is not changed if these option are deselected.

In the Kerio Connect server setup the e-mail size is limited to 100MB, i.e. far beyond the actual e-mail size. But it is noteworthy, that small attachments, e.g. 135 KB, are delivered without any problems. Moreover, attaching a file at either the beginning or the end of the message text does not solve this problem.

Could anyone please provide a solution for this problem?
