Hi folks,

Snom phones get privisioned with timezone "BRA2-3" (Brazil) instead of "GER+1".

Hi,

it is on purpose. BRA2-3 is it only timezone where DST is turned off. The correct time is set by providing a UTC offset in seconds.

Are you experiencing any time difficulties?

Best

Hi Filip,

yes, my Snoms getting Brazil timezone and showing the wrong time.
Timezone in KO is set correct.

Where do I have to set the offset?

Nowhere, it should be set automatically in the provisioning file, the option is called utc_offset. What snom model and firmware do you use?

Hi Filip,

I must get back to this.
Now, first monday after DST switch to winter time, none of our phones got the correct time without a reboot. That's not the way it should be...

Cheers

Hi Filip,

coming back to this old post with the question if this should be already fixed?

I'm asking 'cause all of our Snom phones haven't updated automatically to winter time Sad

Bebst,
Silverstar

Hi,

that's strange, our snom phones updated the time successfully.

Operator detects DST changes and resyncs the phones automatically. The config log of your Operator should read something like
[25/Oct/2015 02:01:01] System - Daylight saving time change detected, restarting phones.

Is your Operator in the same network as the phones, is it able to resync them? Do you have any errors in the error log such as:
[25/Oct/2015 02:32:01] Resync of phone Provisioned Phone 22 (00:0E:08:3B:6A:FB) failed. The most likely cause is that the phone is offline. For details, enable Phone Provisioning messages in Debug Log and try resyncing again.

Hi Filip,
the line
[25/Oct/2015 02:01:01] System - Daylight saving time change detected, restarting phones.
is there but no further errors or something. And no phone was restarted autom. (looking at the prov. screen date last prov.).
Could this interfere with our template overrides...?

Edit: In the provisioned phones screen all phones are marked as not up to date Sad
If I select one to resync the config (context menu), the phones reboots endless without updating the time...

Thx
Silverstar

Update: After doing a reset in the phone webinterface (to break the boot loop) now the time is completely crazy, showing 9:07 (it's 13:07 in Germany now).
