We're getting ready to upgrade cell phones company wide and wondering if anybody else has tried the newer phones with Kerio. I've looked at the supported device list and don't see any of the newer devices. Currently we're looking at the new Droid Mini, and Maxx, Moto X, and S3/S4's.

I'd appreciate any feedback good or bad from users who are using these devices with Kerio. Currently we're on 8.01 and do have the EAS license.

Thanks!

I just purchased the Droid Maxx and have been unable to connect to Kerio Connect via activesync. This is also a problem with other recently released phones running Android 4.2.2.

Ok, I figured it out. I finally got my Droid Maxx to sync. There is a setting in the Kerio Configuration that must be allowed.

Configuration -> Advanced Options - Under the Miscellaneous tab, check "Allow synchronization of unsupported Exchange ActiveSync Devices"

Is this setting still necessary for Android 4.2.2? We have a few devices using that OS that are having trouble opening attachments recently.
(Kerio Connect 8.2.3 here)

Hello Derek_500,

Regardless of the Android issue, I recommend that you upgrade as soon as possible to Kerio Connect v8.2.4 or v8.3.0 as the version that you are currently running is susceptible to the OpenSSL/Heartbleed issue.

Best regards,

Neil.

Hi Neil,
We did run the 8.2.3 openSSL patch that was released, and are looking at running the 8.3.0 upgrade soon. But the recent issues regarding attachments is puzzling. Was there anything addressed in 8.2.4 or 8.3.0 related to viewing attachments on mobile devices? The only thing we changed was that about three weeks ago we enabled the system wide text indexing feature for webmail/connect client searches. I can't be sure that happened at exactly the same time people started having issues with attachmnents.
Thanks,
-Derek
