I have Kerio Connect 7.4.3 build 7813.

I am setting up iPhone users using Caldav, CardDav, IMAP from my server's webmail homepage.

The users' accounts have to be set with the user's short name (I am using OPen Directory for authentication).

However, the users would like to send from email alias addresses. BUT...the From email address is greyed out and cannot be changed.

Is there any way to allow alias/custom email from addresses?

Thanks,

ft.

Hi Fishtech,

I'm afraid that you can't change the "From" email address when using an IMAP account on an iPhone.

Kerio Connect Client ( The webmail interface for Kerio Connect 8 ) does allow you to specify an alternative "From" address.

Best regards,

Neil.

Thanks for the info.

Can you please confirm that a custom/manual IMAP account setup (WITHOUT using the wizard) allows an email alias to be used?

It seems to do so in my testing. I have a user traveling overseas today who needs this functionality and don't want to send him with something that doesn't work as expected.

Thanks,

ft.

Agreed - it certainly seems to work on iOS7

All the best,

Neil.
