Running 8.1 on Mac OS 10.8.4. I have one user with authentication failures - everyone else is fine.. All the users are directory users to Active Directory.

The problem user shows "found in cache" and then a pre-authentication failure. Changed the password in AD - but still no authentication.

I can kinit this user from the kerio server - no problem.

How can I clear the cache?

Hi,

Have you tried deleting the Keychain on the client Mac?

We've often found Keychain holding on to old passwords.

Best regards,

Neil.

No, but that wasn't the issue - entering credentials fresh into webmail also failed. Best guess was a character in their new password that AD thought was fine, but caused problems via kerberos. Changing the password again to a completely different value fixed the issue.

Thanks for the update - I'll file that little tip away for future reference.

Best regards,

Neil.
