When using public calendars with iCal, users can no longer change the color that is automatically chosen for the calendar. This is problematic for users who truly need to be able to set different calendars to different colors.

It appears to me that iCal disables the ability to change this color if the calendar rights are set to read-only. However, this is incorrect behavior as changing the color only affects the local user's display. (This worked perfectly fine before upgrading to 8.2.)

The same goes for subscribed personal calendars. And the colors do not even seem to be the ones the owner set. So even if you have write permissions to the calendar you can't influence the colors. They seem to be just random.

The color of subscribed read-only shared calendar can be set in Kerio Client (new WebMail). Subsequently, once you refresh iCal, the color of your choice will appear in iCal as well.

This way, each user can set different calendars to different colors as this is per-user setting.

This worked. Great.
You can only set the 10 colors Kerio defined but it's better then noting. Smile

I have to agree, we have a customer that needs access to the base colors (Red, Green, Blue, etc), and not the 'Pastel' colors that are available in the Kerio Connect Client.
