We are considering enabling full text search in Kerio Connect 8.2.0. Two questions:

1. Is the information in this Knowledgebase article, which refers to version 7.3.0, still applicable to version 8.2.0?

http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/server-configurati on/how-to-enable-full-text-search-in-kerio-connect-744.html

2. The Kerio documentation warns that enabling full text search can affect the performance of the server. Are there any recommendations as to server requirements to maintain good performance with full text search enabled?

Yes that KB article applies to v8.2 as well.

It is designed such that it minimises the impact on the server whilst the initial indexing takes place.

Having said that, running the 64-bit version on a machine with plenty of RAM should minimise any ongoing performance issues, especially if you have a large number of users.

I hope that helps.
