I just upgraded to Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks. When Mail.app opened it started downloading all the public folders I have permissions to (which, being the admin is a lot).

In the past I had unsubscribed from some of these, now checking the account info and Subscription List in Mail.app there is nothing listed. There is no way to unsubscribe from specific public folders.

Is there any way to remove some public folders? I really don't need these extra gigabytes of email in Mail.app.

Thanks

Hello,

Which version of Kerio Connect are you running?

Best regards,

We observed this behavior as well. On different servers and different Macs.
It happens under Connect 8.1.3 and 8.2.

Same here - running Kerio 8.2.0 and 10.9. I was wondering about the slow network speed and the fan going full tilt for two hours - then noticed every one of my Public Folders was downloading. I normally subscribe to one folder.

Our Public Folder section of the mailstore is over 1TB - something is going to break if I let it carry on...

I'm getting the exact same problem on my corporate install. We've got about 600GB of shared folders and my OSX users are now downloading all of that and it won't fit on their MacBook disks!

Also, the folder list is no longer showing to them which makes it impossible to simply unsubscribe from the shared folders for the time being (awaiting Kerio to understand the underlying problem here).

Anyone got a workaround/resolution to this yet? I notice the last update to this thread was Friday.

Matt

[Edit] I'm on Kerio 8.2.0 but only upgraded today to see if 8.2.0 fixed the problems from 8.1.3 which has the same problems.

Indeed. There are few reports on Apple discussion forums about this problem.
We filed a bug at Apple and I recommend everyone to do the same.

Same behaviour in AirMail, on a MacBook Pro running 10.9, so it doesn't appear to be exclusive to Mail.app.
Using the Kerio auto setup with Outlook 2011 worked though, I can subscribe/unsubscribe as needed to the Public Folders.

Imagine the joy of receiving 5.5 million e-mail moments after upgrading to Mavericks...
I've reported this to Apple in every beta-version seeded. I've received their acknowledgement of the problem and the bug is still open.

Yes, we do. As I mentioned in my previous post, this is Apple Mail behavior on Mavericks. Tell it to Apple.

Just called apple care about the subscription problem. They told me that they changed a lot with the SyncServices and Kerio has to update their software and maker it compatible to the new protocols.

For more information they tol me to look at:
