Hi

Having an issue getting the Busy Lamp Field Presence feature that allows a user (watcher) to monitor the real-time status of another user at a directory number or SIP URI from the device of the watcher.

So far Managed to add the speed dials on the 7961 and 7970 in the xml config files but the problem is that the light indicators do not work when someone is busy/ on call etc.

This totally works on the Cisco SPA508G as it is set differently using the web GUI.

All phones fully working but its just am at the next stage of getting features working.

Hi

I might be wrong, but I believe the Cisco 79xx phones cannot do BLF when they are switched to the SIP firmware.

Hi Filip,

Yeah it has proven to be difficult getting the information meaning, either that part of SIP did not get developed or Cisco locked it down under SKINNY! Sad ... sounds like Cisco proprietary feature on those 79xx handsets rather than the OEM SPA handsets acquired "could be wrong :)"

Many thanks.
