Hello,

we are testing the Blackberry OS 10.2 Update on a Z10 Device (EAS Sync).
Mail and contact sync is OK. Calender sync fails.

Kerio Error Log:
31/Oct/2013 09:25:06] ASyncAirSync.cpp: Unable to parse request from mobile device. Unknown element: Type: 0, Tag: 0x110A, device: BlackBerry,RIM-Z10-STL100-2/10.2.0.1791, user: xxx, IP address: xxx

We can reproduce the error in our productive enviroment (Kerio 8.0.2) and in our test enviroment (Kerio 8.2).

Someone here with the same experience?

Simon

Hi Carma,
I have no such problem w/ slightly older 10.2 (build 1521) so it seems it's recent change in the OS.
Could you please enable "ActiveSync Synchronization" (within "HTTP Server Modules") messages in server's debug log, reproduce the problem and finally provide following line from the log:

Search for line containing:
ActiveSyncRequest::Execute: HTTP code: 400 Bad Request

Provide whole line which is nearest and before this Bad Request line and looks like this:
ActiveSyncRequest::Initialize: Client: <device id> (<EAS version>) from <device's IP>:<and port>: User: user<_at_>domain.com, Cmd: Sync, request: <lot of numbers - this is failing WBXML request from your device>

We'll be able to analyze the request and find what's wrong.

Thank you.

Hi simjon,
Thank you for your response, however I've bad news for you. Unfortunately the buffer for the dump of the request is not large enough so we can see the beginning only. Need to say it's short for this kind of request only. Sad

Anyway, I'm going to upgrade my BB soon and will debug this issue there.

Meanwhile, does it help to remove any body from calendar item which fails to synchronize?

Hi Guys,

We have upgraded our BB-10's in the office and are encountering the same problem. Didn't happen with previous version of BB-OS.

Would be great if you could come up with a fix.

Thanks in advance.
Pierre

Hi

any plans when this fix will be released? I have five BB10 users who already updated to the new Version.

hi Petr

Our staff have the same issue. These are logs.

[21/Nov/2013 09:53:25] ASyncAirSync.cpp: Unable to parse request from mobile device. Unknown element: Type: 0, Tag: 0x0409, device: BlackBerry,RIM-Q10-SQN100-1/10.2.0.1791, user: xxxx, IP address: y.y.y.y

[21/Nov/2013 09:53:27] FolderStatusCache.cpp: Cannot open status file G:/2013-Nov/status.fld.new: (112) There is not enough space on the disk.

Is that related to hard disk drive on the server?

Thanks

Hi,
No, this kind of failure (1st entry from your log) during parsing of a request is not related to missing space on a hard drive.
However missing space on a hard drive is obviously quite fatal for most of Connect as it's seen from other entries of your log.

Hi Petr

Is there any news on when the BETA for 8.2.2 might be released. I had this issue prior to 8.2.1 and was advised that upgrading to 8.2.1 would fix the problem.

It would be better if we could test 8.2.2 prior to release so that we don't find we're then waiting until 8.2.3 because it didn't work.

I've got a dozen users who cannot use their new BB Q10's because of this issue.

Thanks

James

Hi,
you may expect the release of Connect 8.2.2 within next three-four weeks.
With service releases (such as 8.2.2), there are usually no Betas. However the release is available to our Beta testers several days prior the public release.
